The amplitude from this event was quite low. The magnitude reading was MS=3.9, with the depth calculated at 5 kilometers. Distance from detection site and quake was only 945 kilometers and the direction was due west towards the disturbance. The antenna site orientation was magnetic north and south. This orientation is best for events north or south of the receive site. The precursor was noted 89 minutes before the shock. ©1999
